The Packrite Model 6000 is a versatile, heavy duty continuous vertical band sealer for plastic bags or pouches used in food (USDA approved), military, agricultural and many more applications. Usually sold with a conveyor, the Model 6000 can seal most types of polyethylene (PE) and barrier film materials up to 12 mil single thickness bags or 6 mil gusseted bags. The Model 6000 is available with 3/8″ or 3/4″ seal widths and can be ordered with optional 1/8″, 1/4″, or 1/4″ double seal widths.
Bags are guided through the Model 6000 by neoprene conveying belts bags at speeds up to 750 in/min1. Sealing is accomplished by passing the bag through two 10″ heated bars and two 10” cooling bars separated by Teflon® sealing bands. The standard Model 6000 provides a flat seal. When equipped with the optional crimper, the Model 6000 can provide a checkered seal that’s particularly attractive on clear polypropylene materials.
